The Fête of the Blean

FREE Family activity day

2 June – 10am till 4pm

Canterbury Academy, Knight Avenue, Canterbury, CT2 8QA

A true celebration of the ancient woodlands of Canterbury and Swale!

Family activities including: wild art, clay modelling, ‘Have a go’ archery, face painting, woodcraft, willow weaving, rag rug making, falconry display and flight demonstrations from the Hawking Centre and plenty more!

Local food and drinks (including local beers and ciders)

Live music with performances from: Jazz Omnibus, Ronnie Haar, High Tide, Ben Penny.

Morris Dancers: Dead Horse Morris, Broomdashers, Half Pint and plenty of audience participation!

For more serious folk, a conference will be taking place in the Academy buildings with talks from local wildlife and archaeology experts (to download our detailed conference programme, please click here).
