The Blean Initiative was set up in 2002 to develop an integrated
approach to land management and to promote
biodiversity, heritage and recreation. The Blean
initiative includes the organisations below, along with
a wide range of individuals and local groups.
The Blean Initiative is a partnership of landowners, local authorities, conservation bodies and community groups working together to look after this unique landscape for both wildlife and people. We are presently working on improving access, enabling people to explore their landscape heritage on both foot and bike. For more information on the Blean Initiative contact co-ordinator Liz Humpage on 01227 862015 or email blean.initiative@canterbury.gov.uk More about: The Blean Initiative
